Frequently Asked Questions

Q - I have two or more computers and want all of the connected to the internet, how do I do this?
When connecting more then one computer to access the internet through our DSL service, you will need to make a chice whether you want a wireless network or you wish to run wires to the computers. With wireless, you will need a wireless router and wireless Ethernet adapters for every machine you want to connect through the internet. The other option is to buy a switch and run Cat-5e cable from the switch to each computer.

Q - What is a static IP address?
An IP address is a number that is associated to your computer. When the IP address is dynamic, it means that the IP address can change. If you have a Static IP address, it means that the address is associated only with your network or computer and it never changes. This is ideal when you need remote access. You would only need to remember your IP address instead of using a Dynamic host locator.
